Tara Gum is a hydrocolloid, 100% natural obtained from the tara seeds (Caesalpinia spinosa M.) by physical methods.
Tara gum is partly soluble in cold water. Like guar gum and carob bean gum, tara gum is a galactomannan, comprising approximately 25% of galactose (for comparison, guar gum contains about 34%, carob bean gum about 20% of galactose)

USES :
- Natural Food aditive. For its high viscosity is used in food Industry as thickening agent and stabilizer in the preparation of powdered and liquid Soups, seasoning, Mustards, Ketchup, etc.
- Used as agglomerative in lacteous products, confectionery, beverages, cereals, etc.
- It is compatible with other Gums which have a synergist action (Locust rubber or garrofin, Guar gum, Xanthan gum).
- In Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Industry, in the elaboration of dietary products and for diabetics.
